IOWA CITY — “Tight End U” has another tight end on their way to the NFL.
The Cincinnati Bengals drafted Erick All in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft with the No. 115 overall pick. It is a homecoming for All, who is from nearby Fairfield, Ohio.
The former Iowa and Michigan tight end was the sixth tight end drafted in 2024. He joins a Bengals team that has three tight ends on its roster (although none of them had more than 40 receptions in 2023).
All had 21 receptions for a team-high 299 receiving yards and three touchdowns in seven games before suffering a season-ending knee injury in his lone season with the Hawkeyes.
All previously spent four seasons at Michigan, where he had 54 career receptions. His best season was in 2021, when he had 38 catches for 437 yards and two touchdowns. His 2022 season was cut short by a back injury that required surgery.
All’s 2023 knee injury kept him from participating in drills at this year’s NFL Combine although he progressed enough to run sprints at the Iowa football facility before the draft.
He is the second Hawkeye drafted this week. Defensive back Cooper DeJean was the 40th overall selection in the second round.
All’s selection marks back-to-back years with an Iowa tight end being drafted. Sam LaPorta was one of the Detroit Lions’ second-round picks last year.
