IOWA CITY — Iowa offensive linemen Connor Colby, Nick DeJong and Logan Jones earned 2023 third-team all-Big Ten recognition, the conference announced Wednesday.
Coaches and media both selected Colby to the third team. DeJong and Jones were coaches’ selections. It is the first time any of the three offensive linemen received all-Big Ten recognition.
All-Big Ten honorable mentions included tight end Erick All, running back Leshon Williams and another three offensive linemen — Mason Richman, Rusty Feth and Gennings Dunker.
No players on Iowa’s offense received first- or second-team all-Big Ten honors. The lack of recognition from the conference is hardly a surprise considering the Iowa ranks dead-last nationally in yards per game and yards per play.
The Big Ten unveiled its defensive and special teams earlier in the week. Cooper DeJean was the conference’s Defensive Back of the Year and Return Specialist of the Year. Tory Taylor was the Big Ten Punter of the Year for the second time in his career.
