Area girls’ basketball Super Ten: Wins on back-to-back nights over Maquoketa and Cedar Falls boost Iowa City Liberty to No. 3.
Girls’ basketball: Janessa Mosley’s lone basket comes with 4 seconds left, and that sends Iowa City Liberty past Maquoketa, 49-48.

Pairings were set Thursday for the 14-team, 7-game crossover event, which will be held January 4th at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse. Matchups include Cedar Falls and West Des Moines Valley, Dubuque Senior and Waukee Northwest, and Cedar Rapids Kennedy versus Johnston.
