Bachmann names Woolson state campaign manager

Eric Woolson, a longtime Republican campaign strategist who guided Mike Huckabee to a 2008 Iowa precinct caucus victory, has been appointed Iowa state campaign manager by Michele Bachmann.
“Eric is the perfect person to lead our team to victory on caucus day said national,” campaign manager Keith Nahigian.
Woolson's appointment and the assembly of a an Iowa staff to lead the Bachmann campaign through Iowa's first-in-the-nation caucuses builds on the organization that led to Bachmann's victory in the Iowa GOP Straw Poll in August, Nahigian said.
In addition to Woolson, the Bachmann campaign announced the following staff:
- Chris Dorr - Northwest Iowa
- Emma Aquino-Nemecek of Mount Vernon - Northeast Iowa
- Mark Doland of Oskaloosa - Southeast Iowa
- Tony Eastman of Indianola - Central and parts of southwest Iowa
- Barb Heki - Home-school coalition director
- Peter Waldron - Faith leader
- Drew Klein - Faith leader
The campaign has a total of 10 full-time professionals in place, including Sen. Kent Sorenson and Sen. Brad Zaun, state co-chairmen; and Wes Enos, deputy state campaign manager.
