The “way-too-early” 2024-25 preseason women’s basketball rankings started filtering out there as confetti rained upon South Carolina at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland in early April.
It’s no longer way-too-early.
It’s October now, and by month’s end, most teams will have played an exhibition game.
The Associated Press emailed Tuesday, asking for preseason ballots by Oct. 11. The poll is expected to be released Oct. 15.
Here is one of the 30-some ballots that will count toward the preseason-poll tally:
