Facts:
1. Iowa will be without injured Kris Murray (foot) a while longer. “He just needs to be off it for a while, and then heal up and he'll come back,” Hawkeyes Coach Fran McCaffery said.
2. Southeast Missouri State, a member of the Ohio Valley Conference, is on a 5-game losing streak. It lost 68-61 at Arkansas State Wednesday.
3. This is Iowa’s first game against a team that isn’t from a Power Five conference since Nov. 21. The Hawkeyes are 3-0 against mid-major opponents, with an average winning margin of 36 points.
4 Carter Kingsbury’s second 3-pointer of the season Sunday gave him and his father, Chris, 228 threes as Hawkeyes. The father/sons trio of Kenyon (49), Keegan (82) and Kris (60) Murray have 191.
5. Connor McCaffery had 14 field goal attempts (and scored 17 points) in Iowa’s 78-75 overtime loss to Wisconsin Sunday. He had never taken more than 10 shots in any of his previous 143 games as a Hawkeye.
