Purdue is the only “original” Big Ten team to lead its series with Iowa (40-38). The Hawkeyes have won the last seven, though, including their last three at West Lafayette.
An Iowa win would mark its 13th straight, which would match the longest streak of the Lisa Bluder era and would tie for the third-longest run of success in program history.
The Hawkeyes are coming off a 103-69 win at Rutgers on Friday in which Caitlin Clark compiled her 14th career triple-double (29 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists).
After shooting 16 percent (5 of 31) from 3-point range in her previous seven games, Gabbie Marshall hit 4 of 7 Friday.
Speaking of treys, Purdue’s Madison Layden is the Big Ten leader in 3-point accuracy (.493).
Purdue traveled to Maryland over the weekend but the game was postponed due to a leak in the ceiling of the Xfinity Center. It was rescheduled for Sunday.
