What to know: Iowa has won five straight in the series, 19 of the last 20. It was 92-86 in overtime last year in Des Moines.
The last scheduled Drake-Iowa game at Carver, in 2021, was canceled due to COVID-19. The Hawkeyes have won the last nine games at home against Drake by double-figures.
Both teams are 1-0 this season in “Big Four” games this season. Drake earned a home win against Iowa State, 85-73, last Sunday; Iowa bulldozed UNI, 94-53, at Cedar Falls.
The Hawkeyes are coming off a 65-58 home loss to Kansas State on Thursday. K-State scored the final 12 points of the game and held the Hawkeyes to 2-of-21 shooting from beyond the 3-point arc.
Despite shooting 28.3 percent from 3-point range, Caitlin Clark is averaging 30.0 points per game, along with 7.8 rebounds and 7.5 assists. Hannah Stuelke (14.8 ppg) is Iowa’s other double-digit scorer.
Drake is scoring at an 85-point clip, and has four players averaging in double figures, led by Indianola native Grace Berg (19.0 ppg).
