What to know: This marks the end of the cushy section of Iowa’s Big Ten schedule. Counting Indiana, the Hawkeyes’ first five league opponents are a combined 3-22 (and that includes 3-2 Nebraska).
The Hoosiers’ five Big Ten losses have come by an average of 16.8 points.
Iowa is tied for first place with UCLA, with four teams a half-game back.
The Hawkeyes’ last game was six days prior, a 67-58 win at Northwestern. Despite early foul trouble, Ava Heiden led the Hawkeyes with 23 points on 9-of-11 shooting from the floor. Chit-Chat Wright added 12 points and seven assists.
Indiana has won the last two in the series, including a 74-67 victory at Iowa City last season.
IU’s Shay Ciezki is the Big Ten scoring leader at 23.3 points per game, and Zania Socka-Nguemen is No. 1 in rebounding at 8.6 per contest.
