What to know: The last time these teams collided, Iowa topped UConn, 71-69, in a 2024 national semifinal at Cleveland.
Now a senior for the Hawkeyes, Hannah Stuelke scored 23 points in that game. Kylie Feuerbach had a 3-pointer and Taylor McCabe also played. Those two are seniors, too.
Stuelke scored a season-high 31 points in the Hawkeyes’ 102-68 win over Lindenwood last Saturday.
UConn is the reigning national champion and has won 27 consecutive games. The Huskies’ most recent setback was against Tennessee on Feb. 6.
The Huskies are 3-0 against Big Ten teams this season, defeating Ohio State (100-68, Nov. 16), Michigan (72-69, Nov. 21) and USC (79-51, Dec. 13).
UConn is averaging 89.7 points per game, allowing 51.9. Sarah Strong and Azzi Fudd average 17.9 and 17.7 points per game, respectively.
Wisconsin transfer Serah Williams has started all 11 games and averages 7.6 points and 4.9 rebounds per contest.
Saturday marks the final non-conference game of the regular season for the Hawkeyes. They host league rivals Penn State (Dec. 28) and Nebraska (Jan. 1).
