Lucy Olsen, Audi Crooks earn 3rd-team preseason all-American honors from Lindy’s Magazine
Publication has Iowa State as the 10th-ranked team in the nation

The first preseason basketball magazine for 2024-25 has hit the bookshelves.
According to the Lindy’s Sports annual publication, two of the top 15 women’s players in the nation reside within Iowa’s borders.
Iowa senior Lucy Olsen and Iowa State sophomore Audi Crooks both were named third-team on the Lindy’s all-American team.
A 5-foot-10 guard, Olsen transferred from Villanova to Iowa for her final season after earning honorable-mention All-American honors by the Associated Press. She averaged 23.3 points per game (third-best nationally and scored 1,504 career points at Villanova.
A native of Algona, Crooks was one of the nation’s most impactful freshmen last season. She was ISU’s leading scorer (19.2 ppg) while shooting 57.7 percent from the floor, the best field goal percentage by an NCAA Division-I freshman.
Iowa State is ranked No. 10 by Lindy’s; Iowa is unranked.
Reigning national champion South Carolina is No. 1, followed by Connecticut, USC, LSU and Texas.
Lindy’s preseason first-team all-American unit consists of Paige Bueckers of UConn, JuJu Watkins and Kiki Iriafen of USC, Annesah Morrow of LSU and Malaysia Fulwiley of South Carolina.
