IOWA CITY — Iowa reserve forward Shateah Wetering has entered the women’s basketball transfer portal, The Gazette has learned.
A 6-foot redshirt sophomore from Montezuma, Wetering has three years of eligibility remaining.
Wetering’s decision leaves the Hawkeyes with 14 players on scholarship for the 2023-24 season. Starters Monika Czinano and McKenna Warnock will depart; Kennise Johnson-Etienne and Ava Jones will enter.
That leaves one opening if the Iowa staff wants to pursue someone via the portal.
