Iowa’s Payton Sandfort is on the preseason All-Big Ten men’s basketball team.
The 6-foot-8 senior forward averaged 16.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists last season. He ranked second in the Big Ten in free throw percentage, third in 3-point percentage, eighth in scoring, 12th in field goal percentage and 13th in rebounding.
The Waukee native was a third-team All-Big Ten player last season.
On Feb. 27, he had the first triple-double in program history, finishing with 26 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists against Penn State.
