Iowa men’s basketball player Brock Harding is entering the NCAA transfer portal according to multiple sources.
Harding, a 6-foot point guard from Moline, Ill., has two seasons of eligibility remaining. He joined Iowa after being Illinois’ high school “Mr. Basketball” in 2023 when he led Moline High to the large-school state championship as a teammate of recent Iowa portal-entrant, sophomore center Owen Freeman.
Freeman announced Saturday he was entering the portal.
Harding started 24 games this season and played in 67 at Iowa. He averaged 8.8 points and team-highs of 5.3 assists and 1.5 steals per game
He made 39.8 percent of his 3-pointers this season, including one with 14 seconds left to help seal the Hawkeyes’ 77-70 win over Ohio State on March 12 at the Big Ten tournament.
