IOWA CITY — Three Iowa women’s basketball student-athletes earned all-Big Ten honors Tuesday, including unanimous first-team pick Lucy Olsen.
Junior Hannah Stuelke earned second-team honors and senior Sydney Affolter was named honorable mention.
The Hawkeyes have had a first-team All-Big Ten selection in nine consecutive seasons.
Olsen was named a first-team selection by the coaches and media. The Collegeville, Pa., native ranked fifth in the Big Ten in scoring (18 points) and third in assists (4.8) during the regular season.
Stuelke garnered second-team honors by the media and honorable mention from the coaches after averaging 13 points and a team-high 7.9 rebounds. It is her second straight second-team All-Big Ten honor.
Affolter was honorable mention from the media and was Iowa’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award recipient. She averaged 8.5 points and 8.1 rebounds en route to her first career all-Big Ten recognition.
The Hawkeyes finished the regular season 20-9 overall, notching their ninth consecutive 20-win season. It is the second-longest streak in program history.
No. 11 seed Iowa returns to the hardwood Wednesday, facing No. 14 seed Wisconsin in the opening round of the 2025 Big Ten tournament in Indianapolis. Tipoff inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse is set for approximately 7:30 p.m. and will aired on Peacock and the Hawkeye Radio Network.
USC sophomore guard JuJu Watkins was voted Big Ten Player of the Year by the conference coaches and a select panel of the Big Ten media members. USC’s Lindsay Gottlieb was chosen as the Big Ten Coach of the Year.
