Iowa’s men’s basketball team has a commitment from a four-star forward from Tennessee.
Trey Thompson, a 6-foot-8 forward from Greeneville, Tenn., is reclassifying to join the Hawkeyes for the upcoming 2025-26 season. He had been planning to play his senior year of high school ball in Greeneville. The news was first reported by national basketball reporter Joe Tipton.
Thompson’s many offers included Purdue, Indiana, Kansas and Alabama. Thompson visited Iowa in June.
