IOWA CITY — Iowa guard Isaiah Johnson-Arigu appears to be on the move again.
The midyear transfer from Miami (Fla.) has entered the transfer portal, according to a report from On3’s Pete Nakos.
The 6-foot-7 forward was not able to play for the Hawkeyes in 2024-25 after transferring, but enrolled for Iowa’s spring semester and could practice. The former four-star recruit appeared in eight games for the Hurricanes while averaging 1 point and 5.3 minutes per game.
Johnson-Arigu is the ninth Hawkeye to depart via the portal since previous coach Fran McCaffery’s firing. The others have been Owen Freeman, Brock Harding, Riley Mulvey, Josh Dix, Pryce Sandfort, Ladji Dembele, Chris Tadjo and Seydou Traore. Cooper Koch also entered the portal before deciding to return to Iowa.
New coach Ben McCollum has added four of his players from Drake — Bennett Stirtz, Kael Combs, Cam Manyawu and Isaia Howard — via the portal so far.
