Iowa Hawkeyes’ Big Ten men’s basketball opponents announced for 2024-25
Iowa not hosting UCLA or USC in their first season in the Big Ten, but will go to Los Angeles to play both

The Iowa men’s basketball team will get a definite flavor of Los Angeles in the 2024-25 season.
The Hawkeyes will play at UCLA and USC in those two schools’ first season as Big Ten Conference members. Presumably, it will be on the same trip. The league has announced opponents for the coming season, but the dates will come in a few months.
The other two new Big Ten teams, Oregon and Washington, will play at Iowa.
The Hawkeyes’ carbon footprint will be shortened in one way. The only three Big Ten opponents they will play twice are Nebraska, Northwestern and Wisconsin.
Iowa’s other Big Ten home games will be against Indiana, Minnesota, Michigan State, Penn State and Purdue. They won’t host Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio State, Rutgers, UCLA or USC.
In other news, it was announced Tuesday that forward Ben Krikke, a senior on Iowa’s 2023-24 team, is joining the Edmonton Stingers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League. Krikke averaged 13.8 points for the Hawkeyes.
