Iowa’s Hannah Stuelke scored seven points and grabbed seven rebounds as Team USA rallied past Brazil, 92-84, in the gold-medal game of the Women’s AmeriCup tournament Sunday at Centro de Deportes Colectivos, Chile.
A Cedar Rapids native and a senior-to-be with the Hawkeyes, Stuelke played 22 minutes.
She converted both of her floor shots and was 3-for-4 from the free-throw line.
Iowa State’s Audi Crooks added four points in five minutes.
Mikayla Blakes led the Americans with 27 points.
The United States entered the fourth quarter facing a 66-65 deficit.
In the seven games, Stuelke averaged 5.9 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. Crooks added 3.8 points and 1.8 boards per contest.
