Five facts:
1. This is Iowa’s second-straight game against an Ohio Valley Conference team. The Hawkeyes defeated Southeast Missouri State last Saturday, 106-75.
2. Eastern Illinois is 350th in the NCAA’s NET rankings as of Tuesday afternoon. There are 363 Division I teams. Iowa is 27th.
3. The Panthers are 1-9 against D-I opposition, with the win coming in their most-recent game, 70-59 at IUPUI. They lost 87-57 at Illinois and 65-43 at Ohio State.
4. Saturday, Iowa’s Filip Rebraca became the 11th different player in the Fran McCaffery era to score 30 points in a game. It was the first time three Hawkeyes (Rebraca, Payton Sandfort, Patrick McCaffery) scored 20 in the same game since Jan. 17, 2020 against Michigan (Luka Garza, Joe Wieskamp, CJ Fredrick).
5. Since Kris Murray left Iowa’s lineup three games ago because of an injury, Rebraca has averaged 20.7 points, 9.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.7 blocked shots, and has made 25 of 31 field goal tries (80.6 percent).
6. Eastern Illinois is 343rd in the nation in both free throw and 3-point percentage.
