SPLIT, Croatia — Caitlin Clark poured in 30 points as the Iowa women’s basketball team dropped the Croatian club team KK Tresnjevka 2009, 106-53, in its second contest of its foreign tour.
Seven Hawkeyes notched seven or more points with Clark hitting 6-of-13 from 3-point range. Molly Davis scored 17 points, hitting 7 of 9 shots from the field.
Iowa took control of the game in the second quarter, and was up, 58-30, at halftime.
Sydney Affolter was one point short of her second double-double overseas and finished with 10 points and nine rebounds. Hannah Stuelke scored 15 points and had four boards in just 17 minutes.
The Hawkeyes outrebounded KK Tresnjevka 2009, 56-38.
“We’re not really having to run our offense because our transition is so good right now,” Iowa coach Lisa Bluder said in a news release. “We were just taking what the defense gave us. Molly was fantastic today. The way she was moving the ball and shooting it was fun to watch.”
Iowa plays the Croatian All-Stars on Monday to wrap up its tour.
