Addison O’Grady doesn’t miss a shot, Sydney Affolter posts a double-double in Hawkeyes’ win
Iowa destroys first overseas opponent by a 116-46 margin

NAPLES, Italy – The University of Iowa women’s basketball team got big games from Addison O’Grady and Sydney Affolter in a 116-46 rout of Team Slammers in the Hawkeyes’ first contest of their foreign tour.
O’Grady was 8-for-8 from the field and scored 16 points, while Affolter added 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Iowa led 63-23 at halftime and shot 46 of 78 (59.0 percent) from the floor.
Senior Caitlin Clark led the Hawkeyes in scoring, with 17 points, and notched seven assists.
Taylor McCabe added four 3-pointers and scored 14 points. Kate Martin and Molly Davis scored 13 apiece, Hannah Stuelke 12.
“I was happy to see our team shoot the ball so well because you don’t know what’s going to happen once you get out here,” Iowa Coach Lisa Bluder said. “Everybody played well, and it was nice to see everyone get out there and compete. Tonight was a lot of fun for our new group.”
The Hawkeyes’ next game is Friday.
