To Danny -

You were more like a brother

than a cousin to me,

But a cure just wasn't meant to be.

As kids we always shared family

gatherings that were so innocent and

fun-filled, to be at Grandma & Grandpa's house, warming tortillas on the gas stove, making them ever so slightly grilled.

Food was always there, our fault if

we left with a stomach bare.

As adults we shared interests of all sorts, my favorite a mutual love of sports. You took so many trips with your dad, always coming back to tell of the fun you had.

I spoke with you just 6 days before you left all who loved you, with a ton of broken hearts, and that was just for starts.

So spread your wings and always wonder who it might be when the phone rings…

No more pain or suffering for my favorite 'cuz. Crying tears a river wide, wishing we could go back to the way it was.
