We pray for you
dear mother,
that you are
finally at peace.
It's been a hellish ride
but you are not
to blame,
not in the least.
You were stolen away
when you needed us
the most
and it still haunts
our hearts
like a familiar ghost.
We pray
you have found peace
and now can clearly see,
that you deserved
and had a right to know
you were loved
just as much
by us three.
You were never
forgotten,
just simply misplaced,
and what we weren't
allowed to tell you
or show you,
can still be found
etched upon our face.
And in our heart
is where you will stay,
all the while knowing
you were loved each
and every day!
