Homegrown: Winter Gardening Fair update

If you plan to attend the Saturday, Feb. 19 Winter Gardening Fair at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, you'll have to act fast.

As of this week, 500 people had already registered for the event, hosted by Iowa State University Extension's Linn County Master Gardeners.

Master Gardener Coordinator, Bev Lillie, said a few more people might be able to attend, but many of the classes are already full.

More than 45 workshops are scheduled for the day, which features keynote speaker, Kelly Norris.

Tuition of $49 covers four workshops, Kelly's speech and a box lunch.
