For the past several years, I've been attending the Winter Gardening Fair, presented by the Linn County Master Gardeners, and this year is no exception.
The event is Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at Kirkwood Community College and, barring a blizzard or an ice storm, I plan to be there. For the first time, I'll be liveblogging one of the sessions. Take a look at the Homegrown blog or www.GazetteOnline.com to follow the liveblog report on Becki Lynch's session called, "Get Rid of Pests the Green Way." It starts at 9:45 a.m. Saturday.
I'm told more than 450 people are registered to attend the gardening fair. There is room for a few walk-ins (the day begins at 8:30 a.m.) but some of the classes are full. Cost is $49, which includes lunch. If you see me there tomorrow, say Hi, and let me know what's up in the gardening world where you live.
