Chicago Botanic Garden tour

   The Iowa City/Johnson County Senior Center, in partnership with the Washington Community Y, and HUGS Tours is offering a Gardener's Delight trip to the Chicago Botanic Garden on Friday, June 13, 2008.

  The visit will include lunch at the Garden, motorcoach transportation, driver gratuity and two guided tours of the 385-acre Garden, which features 23 display gardens and 3 native habitats uniquely situated on nine islands surrounded by lakes. A tram tour will be included which travels 2.6 miles around the Garden perimeter. 

  The cost of the trip is $100 per person. Departure will be from the Washington, Iowa, Hy-Vee at 6:00 am and the Iowa City Wal-Mart on Hwy 1 at 7 am.  Riverside and Kalona are also possibilities for pickup points. Return time to Iowa City should be approximately 10 pm. Reservations need to be made as soon as possible.
