A barnyard atmosphere added a touch of reality to this stable scene at the Eldon Heeren farm near Akron, Iowa on December 24, 1984. The Nativity setting was atop a shed on Heeren's dairy barn and was a treat for travelers on South Dakota Highway 48. Akron is located in Plymouth County, north of Sioux City, near the border of South Dakota.
