'Dutch' Treat at Regis High School
Former California Governor Ronald Reagan speaks during an Iowa rally at Regis High School in Cedar Rapids on November 17, 1979 as part of his cross-country swing while campaigning for the 1980 Republican presidential nomination. Reagan defeated Democratic incumbent Jimmy Carter for the presidency on November 4, 1980, and was inaugurated as the 40th President of the United States on January 20, 1981. Reagan went by the name "Dutch" when he was a radio sports announcer for WOC Davenport and WHO Des Moines from 1932-1937.
