Iowa Supreme Court to hear arguments at University of Iowa

CEDAR RAPIDS - The Iowa Supreme Court will hear oral arguments at the University of Iowa College of Law at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 9. Seating is limited.
The court also announced that it will have similar sessions at Drake University School of Law on March 30, 2017, and evening sessions in Ankeny, Keokuk, Spencer, Des Moines and Charles City.
The court's 2016-17 term also will mark the third year the court has livestreamed and archived its oral arguments on the Iowa Courts YouTube channel.
The court will continue its regular schedule of oral arguments in Des. All Supreme Court oral arguments are open to the public.
Since May 2011, the court has heard oral arguments in 21 Iowa communities, including Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Mason City, Bettendorf, Waterloo, Sioux City, Toledo, Storm Lake, Decorah and Clinton. The justices have gone to 140 high schools, universities and colleges.
