Action from the 2024 Mississippi Valley Conference girls’ golf Super Meet, held Monday at Ellis Park Golf Course in Cedar Rapids.
Schedule conflicts have prevented the Cedar Rapids Washington girls’ golf team from fielding its best lineup. The Warriors were at full strength Monday for the Mississippi Valley Conference Super Meet at Ellis Golf Course and rolled to the team title.
The River Valley Conference’s hold on the top of the Class 1A Iowa high school boys’ soccer rankings didn’t change, but the team at the top did. Drake Relays (Saturday boys): Iowa City West’s Aidan Jacobsen emerged from a four-wide deadlock in the final 40 meters and claimed the boys’ 400-meter hurdles championship.
Drake Relays (Saturday girls): Iowa City Wes’s Erinn Varga, Herring, Eriniah Carter, Sophia Olivo ran to third place in the girls’ shuttle hurdle relay.
