Isaac, Isaiah and Elijah Scott are inspired by faith, family and baseball. They have merged all three together and found success, making up one-third of the Marion starting lineup. They will all start together for the Class 3A state quarterfinal against Center Point-Urbana on Monday at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids.

Mason Bechen is North Linn’s best baseball player. The junior couldn’t pitch, couldn’t throw most of this season because of an arm injury. But he has returned to the mound in the postseason and has helped the Lynx (who start three eighth-graders, two freshmen and a sophomore) to the Class 1A state tournament.
