The Linn County Board of Health will announce the winners of its Healthy Worksite Wellness Awards on Thursday, April 5 during a breakfast ceremony from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. at Elmcrest Country Club. There are five award categories based on size and the winners in each category will be announced at the breakfast.
Businesses and organizations were invited to submit nominations to the Healthy Worksite Wellness Award program. Linn County Public Health conducted 35 assessments with organizations in the public, private and non-profit sector. There was no cost to the businesses to participate.
“We want to recognize and reward those employers who place value on creating and sustaining a healthy workplace for their employees,” said Linda Langston, Linn County Supervisor and member of the Linn County Board of Health. “Healthy employees are productive employees, and anything we can do to encourage healthy work environments is good for Linn County.”
This is the 4th annual Healthy Worksite Wellness Award program and demonstrates Linn County's commitment to creating a supportive work environment for employee health.
