Chest Pain: What you need to know

Mercy Iowa City will sponsor a free community seminar titled, "The Chest Pain Challenge: What you need to know," on Saturday at 9 a.m.,  in the McAuley rooms, Mercy Medical Plaza, 540 E. Jefferson St., Iowa City.  A complementary breakfast will be available beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Speakers will be Stephen Scheckel, MD, Medical Director, Mercy Emergency Care Unit; and Kathy Hotz, RN, Nurse Manager, Mercy Emergency Care Unit.

Topics to be covered include:  What are the signs and symptoms of a heart attack? And how should you respond to these signs?

Free parking will be available in Mercy Medical Plaza parking ramp.
