St. Luke's Hospice is looking for new and talented volunteers to help our staff provide the best possible care for our patients.
St. Luke's Hospice provides physical, emotional, social and spiritual support for terminally ill patients and their families. Every day St. Luke's strives to create a comforting and caring atmosphere supportive to living life to the fullest for as long as life lasts.
Volunteers are key to this mission at St. Luke's Hospice. They offer companionship and assistance to our team and patients. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or learning more, contact Lynette at 319/368-5632 or oliverlm@crstlukes.com.
The next hospice volunteer orientation will take place Friday, April 27 and Saturday, April 28 from 9 - 4 p.m. at St. Luke's Hospice (290 Blairs Ferry Rd NE, Cedar Rapids).
St. Luke's Hospice Volunteers serve various roles such as:
• Provide patient and family support through companionship
• Assist with grief and bereavement support
• Support office staff by helping with filing, mailings and other projects
• Join our speaker's bureau and become an advocate for us in the community
Being a hospice volunteer is a very uplifting experience enabling you to truly make a difference in someone's life.
