TV: ESPN
Radio: AM 800 KXIC, Hawkeye Radio Network
Series: Oklahoma State leads the all-time series, 29-28-2, but Iowa has won 10 of the last 12 meetings against the Cowboys. Most recently, the Hawkeyes defeated the Cowboys at National Duals, 18-16, back in November. Iowa’s last win in Stillwater was in 2024.
What to know: Iowa’s regular season finale brings the Hawkeyes back to Stillwater for a classic rivalry against No. 3 Oklahoma State. Sunday’s meeting marks the 60th all-time meeting between the two blue blood programs.
“There's a little bit more at stake with Oklahoma State,” Iowa head coach Tom Brands said. “You talk about the rivalry, you talk about the differences in the program, you talk about (the) coach down there, it ratchets up the fire a little bit more.”
Though Brands hasn’t revealed details to which Hawkeyes will compete in the Big Ten Championships in March, he made it clear that a rivalry dual like Iowa-Oklahoma State is significantly important to this season, and the sport in general.
Iowa heads to Cowboy territory after its 32-3 win over Purdue, marking its third consecutive win since falling to No. 2 Ohio State on Feb. 6.
Oklahoma State’s lone loss this season is against the Hawkeyes during National Duals. Since then, the Cowboys have won 11 straight duals, including a 24-9 win over No. 4 Iowa State on Feb. 1.
“This isn't something that you downplay because they're in a different conference,” Brands said. “It doesn't matter what conference they're in. It doesn't matter what conference we're in. What matters is that we're after the same turf, and we want to represent at the highest level. And it's a it's a good test.”
