Iowa’s football team is 9-2. Nebraska’s is 3-8. Yet, the Hawkeyes opened as a 4-point underdogs to the Huskers in the opening college football lines posted Sunday by the Circa Resport and Casino in downtown Las Vegas.
Teams with worse records than their opponents have been favored over them thousands of times. But a 3-8 over a 9-2? That’s different.
It’s not just Circa. DraftKings had Nebraska as a 3-point favorite as of 3:30 p.m., Sunday afternoon, and FanDuel had the Huskers as 3.5-point picks.
Iowa faces Nebraska Friday in Lincoln at 12:30 p.m.
