Iowa pitched its second shutout of the Big Ten football season Saturday at Ryan Field in Evanston, Ill., to end a three-game losing streak in its series against Northwestern.

Tyrone Tracy made the play of the game in the first quarter, spinning out of a group of four Northwestern tacklers and taking a third-down catch 50 yards to the end zone for Iowa's first TD.

Mekhi Sargent added a 1-yard run in the third quarter and Keith Duncan was 2-for-3 on field goals.

The offense didn't exactly break out, totaling 302 yards (4.6 per play).

Nate Stanley completed 12 of 26 passes for 179 yards and the TD to Tracy. The Hawkeyes averaged 3.1 yards per rush, getting 58 yards on 11 carries from Tyler Goodson.

The Wildcats, who are averaging just 7.5 points per game against Power Five foes, managed 202 total yards Saturday (3.0 per play). Aidan Smith was 18 of 32 for 138 yards and a pick (Chauncey Golston). Northwestern was 0-for-4 on fourth downs.

The Hawkeyes totaled nine tackles for loss and five sacks, including two from Daviyon Nixon and 1.5 from Joe Evans.
