Class of 2023 quarterback Marco Lainez commits to Hawkeyes
New Jersey prospect ranked 13th among quarterbacks in his class

IOWA CITY — Class of 2023 quarterback prospect Marco Lainez verbally committed to the Iowa Hawkeyes on Monday in a tweet.
Lainez is a four-star recruit and the 13th-best quarterback in his class, according to Rivals.
Lainez, who hails from Princeton, N.J., joins Iowa City’s Ben Kueter and Norwalk’s Maddux Borcherding-Johnson as the third 2023 prospect to commit to the Hawkeyes.
He also had scholarship offers from Illinois, Maryland, Michigan State, Pittsburgh and West Virginia, among other schools.
