Iowa’s Keegan Murray is Big Ten co-men’s basketball Player of the Week
Fourth such honor of the season for Iowa sophomore

To no surprise whatsoever, Iowa sophomore forward Keegan Murray was named the Big Ten Conference’s men’s basketball Player of the Week Monday.
But he did share it, with Rutgers’ Geo Baker.
Murray totaled 67 points in the Hawkeyes’ wins over Maryland last Thursday and Nebraska Sunday. He also had 13 rebounds and four blocked shots.
It’s the fourth time Murray has gotten the award this season, the only Big Ten men’s player to earn it that many times. Illinois center Kofi Cockburn has three such honors this season.
Baker had 41 points and nine assists in a pair of wins over ranked teams Ohio State and Wisconsin.
Credit ESPN’s Jeff Borzello for the following statistics:
Murray is only the third major-conference player to put up back-to-back 30-point games so far this season. He's the first player with back-to-back 30-point games in Big Ten play since Ayo Dosunmu did it last season for Illinois.
He is the first Big Ten player with 35 points and zero turnovers on 70-percent shooting in a game since Wisconsin’s Frank Kaminsky in 2013, and he's the first player to do it in a Big Ten conference game since Wisconsin’s Devin Harris in 2004.
