1. Nebraska has lost its last eight games in Iowa City by an average of 15.4 points, and all by at least nine. The Hawkeyes beat the Huskers in Carver last March, 102-64. Jordan Bohannon made eight 3-pointers and scored 26 points.
2. The Huskers won their first Big Ten game of the season Wednesday, 78-65 over Minnesota in Lincoln. Nebraska is winless on the road this season in seven tries.
3. Iowa is coming off a 110-87 win at Maryland Thursday in which it shot exactly 60 percent from the field in both halves and made a program-record 19 3-pointers in a Big Ten game. Keegan Murray averaged 32.5 points in the Hawkeyes’ two wins over the Terrapins.
4. Nebraska 6-foot-7 freshman Bryce McGowens averages 16.7 points. He was the first five-star recruit in the program’s history.
5. Nebraska is the only major-conference program that has never won an NCAA men’s basketball tournament game. It has played in seven NCAA tourneys, but just one in the 21st century.
