Five things to know:
1. Iowa opened its season Tuesday with a 106-73 rout of Longwood. The Hawkeyes shot 55.4 percent from the field and made 15 3-pointers, six by Jordan Bohannon.
2. The Hawkeyes had three runs of at least 10 or more consecutive points in that game.
3. Kansas City, a member of the Summit League, debuted with a 71-56 loss at Minnesota Tuesday. Junior forward Josiah Allick scored 21 points for the Roos.
4. Keegan and Kris Murray both had career-highs against Longwood, with 24 and 16 points, and five and two blocked shots, respectively.
5. This is the Roos’ 36th season in Division I. They have never been to an NCAA tournament. They are the only D-I team called the Roos.
