Iowa State 21st, Iowa 25th in men's basketball coaches poll

Despite an 86-70 loss at Purdue last Wednesday, Iowa remains in the USA TODAY men's basketballl coaches poll.
The Hawkeyes are 25th, ranked for the eighth-straight week. They beat then-No. 23 Nebraska Sunday in Iowa City, 93-84.
Iowa State is a newcomer to the poll, entering at 21st after a 69-63 win at Oklahoma State last Wednesday and a 77-60 home victory last Saturday over Kansas, which fell from sixth to ninth as a result.
This is the first week Iowa State and Iowa have both been ranked in the poll since the final rankings of the 2015-16 season.
The Hawkeyes visit Northwestern (8 p.m. Wednesday) and host No. 17 Ohio State (1:30 p.m. Saturday) this week. The Cyclones travel to Baylor at 6 p.m. Tuesday and host Kansas State at 11 a.m. Saturday.
