Iowa men’s basketball ranked 24th in coaches’ poll

Iowa moved up a spot to 24th in this week's USA TODAY coaches men's basketball rankings.

The Hawkeyes had wins of 73-63 at Northwestern and 72-62 over Ohio State since last week's poll. Ohio State, which had been ranked 17th, was bounced out of the Top 25. So was Iowa State, 21st last week. The Cyclones went 0-2 after making their first appearance of the season in the rankings.

Iowa has been ranked nine consecutive weeks. It plays at Penn State Wednesday at 6 p.m. (CT).
