Iowa men’s basketball adds games with Western Michigan, Portland State

Two more opponents have been added to Iowa’s 2021-22 nonconference men’s basketball schedule.
Western Michigan (5-16 last season) plays at Iowa on Nov. 22, Portland State (9-13) on Nov. 26.
Two nonconference openings remain. Here are the games that are known:
Nov. 9: Longwood (12-17 overall last season, 10-10 in the Big South Conference)
Nov. 16: North Carolina Central (5-9, 3-5 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference)
Nov. 18: Alabama State (4-14 overall, with each game in the Southwestern Athletic Conference)
Nov. 22: Western Michigan (5-16 overall, 4-12 in the Mid-American Conference)
Nov. 26: Portland State (9-13 overall, 6-8 in the Big Sky Conference)
Nov. 29: At Virginia (18-7 overall, 15-4 in the Atlantic Coast Conference_
Dec. 9: At Iowa State (2-22 overall, 0-18 in the Big 12 Conference)
Dec. 18: vs. Utah State (20-9 overall, 15-4 in the Mountain West Conference) in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Dec. 21: Southeastern Louisiana (8-18 overall, 5-10 in the Southland Conference)
The Hawkeyes’ 10 home and 10 road opponents have been determined, with dates and times to be announced. They are:
Home and Away — Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Penn State, Purdue
Home Only — Indiana, Michigan State, Northwestern
Away Only — Ohio State, Rutgers, Wisconsin
