1. This is the second meeting of these teams in a nine-day period. Iowa defeated the Nittany Lions 68-51 in Iowa City on Jan. 22.
2. Both teams are coming off double-digit losses. Iowa fell 83-73 at home to Purdue Thursday. Penn State lost 74-57 at Indiana Wednesday after trailing 46-17 at halftime. Penn State shot 33.3 percent from the field at Iowa and Indiana.
3. It’s Penn State’s first home game since a 66-49 win over Rutgers on Jan. 11.
4. Iowa has just one loss against an unranked team this season.
5. This will be the first of three Iowa games in the Eastern time zone in 10 days. The Hawkeyes are at Ohio State Thursday and Maryland Feb. 10. They host Indiana next Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
