For the second straight Tuesday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, Iowa looked a lot like the team most fans expected in the preseason against a struggling rival.
Iowa (12-12, 3-8) jumped to an 11-1 lead in this one, and though Minnesota (14-10, 3-8) quickly came back and took the lead on multiple occasions, the Hawkeyes pulled away in the second half.
It's Fran McCaffery's 400th career win.
It was 37-33 at halftime and Iowa started the second with a 10-2 run. The Hawkeyes were 12 of 25 from 3-point range, their most treys in a Big Ten game this season.
Jordan Bohannon led the way with 20 points on 6-for-11 shooting, including 4-for-8 from 3-point range. Tyler Cook added 17 points and 10 rebounds. Isaiah Moss (16), Luka Garza (10) and Cordell Pemsl (10) also scored in double figures.
Minnesota shot 44.8 percent and was just 7 of 25 from 3-point range.
Jordan Murphy paced the Gophers with 21 points and 17 rebounds.
