Iowa ended a rough regular season on a high note, building a 22-point first-half lead and holding on to beat Northwestern, 

Jordan Bohannon was 6 of 9 from 3-point range in the first half and finished with seven 3-pointers and 25 points. He tied Chris Street's school record for consecutive made free throws with 34. With a chance to break the record late in the game, he missed the front end of a one-and-one well short.

"That's not my record to have," Bohannon told BTN after the game. "That record deserves to stay in his name.

"It's really got me emotional these past couple games because I've known what I wanted to do. ... It's been an honor to get to know his family."

Luka Garza added 18 points for the Hawkeyes (13-18, 4-14), while Tyler Cook had 14 points, 11 rebounds and six assists and Isaiah Moss pitched in 12 points.

Northwestern (15-16, 6-12) cut the lead to eight with 2:43 left (then seven on the final shot of the game) behind Scottie Lindsey's team-high 32 points on 9-for-11 3-point shooting. His nine makes ties a Carver-Hawkeye Arena record set last Saturday by Indiana's Robert Johnson.

Iowa will be the No. 12 seed in the Big Ten tournament and play Illinois in the first round at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
