IOWA CITY — The University of Iowa women’s basketball team has picked up a transfer commit.
Molly Davis, a 5-foot-7 guard who played her first three seasons at Central Michigan, announced her commitment with the Hawkeyes on Thursday.
A native of Midland, Mich., Davis averaged 18.6 points per game last season as the Chippewas went 4-25. In three seasons at CMU, she scored 1,438 points.
Davis’ arrival adds backcourt depth to the Hawkeyes, who finished 24-8 last season and won Big Ten regular-season and tournament championships. It also means that Iowa will have a full 15-player roster in 2022-23.
