Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis hosts the 2022 Big Ten women’s basketball tournament this week. Ohio State is the top seed, with fellow regular season co-champion Iowa the No. 2 seed. No. 4-seed Maryland is the defending champion.
The winner gets an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Michigan, Maryland, Iowa and Indiana are all projected top-4 seeds, and thus first- and second-round hosts, in ESPN.com’s NCAA Tournament Bracketology as of Wednesday morning. Ohio State and Nebraska are also safely in the field, with Northwestern in one of the last four spots.
